StrongholdIcon DoW

The Stronghold serves as the Headquarters of the Space Marines in Dawn of War. This Building allows the player to train Servitors and Scout Marines as well as researching technologies that increases the Population Limit. Constructing a Stronghold costs 700 Requisition and 150 Power. However, unlike most buildings, cost scales by 250 more Requisition and 150 Power as more are built after the 2nd one is built. For example, constructing it the 3rd time requires 950 Requisition and 300 Power while constructing it the 4th time requires 1200 Requisition and 450 Power with the 5th and final time costing 1450 Requisition and 600 Power. Even if the original Stronghold is destroyed, the original upgrades still applies to the player. Thus, the player only has to research the subsequent Monastery add-ons only once since researching it for other Strongholds have no effect other than changing its appearance. Although it is the most expensive structure, each Stronghold generates a +20 Requisition rate which never decays over time. The building features 6000 Hit Points and like all artificial constructs, it has no Morale.

  • Squad Cap Increase: Costs 150 Requisition. Increases the number of infantry squads you can have by increasing your Squad Cap up to 15 slots. This can be researched again after researching the Monastery (HQ Add-on) increasing the Squad Cap up to 20 slots but for an additional price of +25 Requisition.

VehicleCapIncreaseIcon DoW

  • Vehicle Cap Increase: Costs 125 Requisition. Increases the number of vehicles you can have by increasing your Vehicle Cap up to 5 slots. This can be researched up to 3 more times after researching the Monastery (HQ Add-on) but for an additional price of +25 Requisition. Each research provides +5 Vehicle Cap but resources does not scale upon subsequent research after the initial +25 Requisition increase.

ScoutInfiltrationResearchIcon DoW

  • Scout Infiltration Research: Costs 25 Requisition and 15 Power. Allows the Scouts to use the Infiltration ability.

Monastery HQ AddOnIcon DoW

  • Monastery (HQ Add-on): Costs 250 Requisition and 100 Power. Upgrades the Stronghold to a Monastery. This is available once both the Chapel-Barracks and the Armory are built.

FortressMonastery HQ AddOnIcon DoW

  • Fortress Monastery (HQ Add-on): Costs 400 Requisition and 150 Power. Upgrades the Stronghold to a Fortress Monastery. Fortress Monastery allows the production of the most advanced units, buildings, and abilities available to the Space Marines. This is available once both the Machine Cult and the Sacred Artifact are built.
